LG Philips LTD made world’s highest resolution e-paper with resolution of 1280x800 pixels. It has the ability to display 16.7 million colors what makes it perfect for use in high end multimedia applications. It has full 180° viewing angle so it is easy to see even flexured. Displays are energy efficient, using power only when the image changes. Philips's latest e-paper is equivalent in size to an A4 sheet of paper. Only 300 micrometers in thickness makes it almost paper-thin.
First developed in the 1970, e-paper (electronic paper) is a display technology designed at Xerox PARC (Palo Alto Research Center, Inc.). It was designed to replace the appearance of ink on paper.
