OK, let's see...

President George W. Bush graduated with a Bachelor's degree in history from Yale, and received an MBA from Harvard. He spent his military time as an Air Force pilot of a fighter that was by all reports a difficult ship to fly. He sometimes misspeaks, but has improved during his years in the Oval Office. He has also run businesses (and sometimes failed), and was the owner of the Texas Rangers baseball team for a time.

Former Vice President Al Gore, Jr. (to whom Mr. Bush is often compared) received a Bachelor's degree cum laude from Harvard, in government. He failed divinity school, and spent 2 years in law school without receiving a degree. He spent his military time as an Army reporter for his base newspaper, and finished his stint in an engineer brigade, as a public affairs officer. He is currently the leading voice of an environmental which has been accepted by consensus, but has no actual scientific proof to support it. One of his homes was reported to use ...

First of all, you're a moron.

Now that the ad hominem is out of the way (just to make me feel better) let's see...

All the business he's "run" went bankrupt, even the Rangers baseball team. Yes, he bankrupted every company he ever "ran" - so you might say he ran them into the ground, much like the US Economy.
Most of his 2 years in the Air Force were spent drinking and partying while AWOL. Nothing like having daddy's influence to save you from a dis-honorable discharge.

As for your other bullshit, it's just that, bullshit. There is no scientific consensus without scientific evidence. Gore actually served his full time in the military and did so overseas - Bush never even left the country until he became President.
Al Gore's house uses more power than most houses, yes. But nearly all of it comes from renewable energy sources, and the rest is offset by buying carbon credits, which reduces his carbon footprint down to zero. What's your carbon footprint Red?
Seem...

...One of his homes was reported to use more energy in a month than the average home used in an entire year. And it has been reported that he is a shareholder of a zinc mining operation that has been rather "un-green" in its operation.

So tell me again who's the idiot?

I say the american people, they are the ones complaining about the person that they picked as president.
Tallman   | | 2008-06-10 13:20:13
They misunderestimated him.

President Bush's education and military history are of absolutely no consequence. What are important are the actions that he and his administration have taken over the nearly eight years of his presidency.

Regardless of what college he went to or his intelligence, the economy is terrible right now, we are in the middle of a war which cannot hope to have the desired result and will likely go the same way as the Vietnam war. The No Child Left Behind act has lowered the standards of education dramatically.

I'm not saying that Bush is completely responsible of these things, however a leader is in part made by those who he chooses to advise him, and President Bush has surrounded himself with people who are more interested in telling the president what he wants to hear, rather than what is good for the people.

So talk about his past all you want, but that all is irrelevant, all posterity will know him for is the eight years he spent in office.

And as a side note, to get a good educatio...

Yes President Bush has been in office for 8 years, and yeah things are not great right now, and he is not the brightest crayon in the box. Anyone who truly understand American government knows its the Senate and the House that have really screwed us. We have old, corrupt, men and woman who make a career out of a position that was supposed to be a service to our country. These men and women think we are too stupid to live our own lives so they have to "govern" us, like our mommies and daddies.
